From Orphan to Beloved
It all started in 2015 when a local pastor discovered 26 Hmong children in the mountains of Vietnam, whose parents had been kidnapped, likely for organ trafficking. The children were severely malnourished and dehydrated, some in critical condition. The pastor and his entire family made the decision to take them in and care for them. Through relentless prayer and compassionate care, all of the children slowly recovered.
Phos, who was deeply moved by their plight, began supporting the pastor’s efforts by helping build separate homes for the boys and girls, as well as providing food and education. Over the following months, more Hmong orphans were found and brought into the children’s homes.
Not only did these children find a place to belong, but they also began to grow in their faith and understanding of themselves as beloved children of God. Every day, they gather for worship, Bible study, and prayer, being nurtured both spiritually and relationally.
